Does Colnago Make Entry Level Bikes?

Since Colnago is mostly a high-end road bike maker, their options for an entry level bike are minimal.

Before you lose hope of getting a Colnago bike....you do have a couple of options.

You do have a choice of getting the frame you want and building an entry level bike for yourself.

All though this is not a bad idea most of us want fairly immediate gratification from our purchase.

You can get just about any of their frames and build it just the way you want it.

The reason these frames are chosen is due to the frames being made from less expensive materials.

These frames are also a great starters or life long bikes.

The World Cup frame is actually made for use as a cyclo-cross bike.

Cyclo-cross means the tires are a bit wider than normal road bike tires and they have tread on them, similar to a mountain bike.

They are designed to ride in the dirt, so the frames are designed to take more of a beating.

You could probably switch the tires and possibly the rims to get a great road bike.

Your Master X Light frame is a solid road bike frame. It is durable and will be a long lasting bike.

Why a Colnago Bicycle?

The EPS Di2 comes with the new Shimano electronic shifting system.

For those of you who do not know about Di2, the regular cables have been replaced by wires and it shifts electronically. Pretty exciting set up!

All the Colnago carbon fiber bikes are made from monocoque frames.

This means the frame is all one piece instead of the different pieces/tubes being 'wielded' together with an epoxy glue.

Having the frame all one piece provides greater strength and durability.

You will find Colnago uses Campagnolo components which are also Italian made.

Campagnolo components are known for providing smooth, reliable and long lasting shifting performance.
