 Double M Bike Race - 2nd AnnualThe Double M bike race is a USA Cycling sanctioned event plus part of the UCA point series and will give most race categories the opportunity to test themselves on a 65 mile loop. The bike race will take place on Saturday, September 17th, 2011! There will be over $2000 in cash and prizes!The 65 mile loop starts at the Morgan County Fairgrounds located in the City of Morgan. From the Fairgrounds you will head toward the Pineview Reservoir. Turn Right on S Morgan Valley Dr, head back towards town, turn left on the Old Hwy, turn right on Trappers Loop Rd, turn right on Ogden Canyon road, follow it around the reservoir, head back to the fairgrounds. The rider is responsible for their own food and someone to pass it off to them. Fun RideSee information for the fun rideDirections to the Double M Bike RaceIf you live in the Salt Lake area, the Morgan County Fairgrounds is about 50 miles away. It takes about an hour to get there using I-15N to I-84E. You can also use I-80E to I-84W. Using I-80E will take a little over an hour to get there. From I-84 use exit 103, turn Left at 500E/Commercial St., the Fairgrounds will on be on your right.Road Race RegistrationRegistration for the Double M Bike Race will take place through New.SportsBaseOnline.com until Thursday, September 15th by 10:00pm. Each race category will be assigned to race one of the three laps of the course. The Fun Ride is open to all that want to take the ride at a leisure pace to enjoy the sites and scenery of Morgan County. Each participant can choose to test themselves on 1 or 2 laps of the course. Fun ride participants will leave the Morgan County Fairgrounds in small groups of for safety. Stopping at each feed zone is encouraged to refuel. All participants of the Race and Fun Ride will be given a post ride meal. I do not have a license but I am interested in racing. How can I do that? If you do not have a license you can purchase a one day USA Cycling license for $10 and race in one of the entry level categories for men, women or juniors. This $10 will include you one-day license. If you are doing the Fun Ride you do not need a license. I will have family attending can they come to the post race meal as well? Yes, you can purchase extra meal tickets for $10 each.
