Motobecane
Bicycles
Motobecane
bicycles have a good selection of both titanium and carbon fiber bikes.
You will be better served by Motobecane if you are looking for an upper
level road bike.
Upper level bikes consist of titanium and carbon fiber with Shimano
105, Ultegra or Dura Ace components.
You should put them into your top 5 or higher for mid to high level
bicycles.
Does Motobecane Offer an Entry Level
Bike?
Yes, Motobecane
does have one model
which would make a good entry level bike.
They do offer several models with Shimano 105 components, yet only one
is
offered in an acceptable price range for an entry level bike.
This
model is the Vent Noir!
It is an aluminum frame with a carbon fiber fork!
This bike comes with either Shimano 105 or Tiagra components (drive
train and shifters).
Getting Shimano 105 components is the better choice because you can
upgrade much easier later.
Since the price is so similar, between Shimano 105 and Tiagra
components on the bike, why not get the better bike?
What Is Different From Other Brands?
You will notice
you have the same options in frame types as you do with other bike
brands.
There is one notable exception...you can get a titanium frame from
Motobecane!
Because of challenges working with the metal, titanium frames are only
made by a few bike manufacturers.
Titanium is a very light and extremely strong metal, thus an excellent
choice for a bike frame.
You have four model selections for the titanium-framed Motobecane
bicycles.
All the models begin with Le Champion name and they are:
- Team Ti (Dura Ace)

- SL Ti (Ultegra)
- Ti (105)
- Apex Ti (SRAM)
These bikes are actually very affordably priced for the value
you get.
While Motobecane also makes carbon fiber
bikes, it is the titanium bikes that makes this brand stand out in
comparison to other bike makers.
When looking for a titanium bike you will want to have Motobecane on
your top 5 list!
