Northwave Aerator Cycling Shoe
The Northwave Aerator Cycling shoe is one great shoe! Read on to find out why!
Northwave actually makes 3 types of the Aerator. The Aerator racing is their flagship. Next is the Aerator 3 S.B.S. The Aerator 3 finishes off the Aerator family.
Let’s get into the nitty gritty of what makes the Northwave Aerator such an impressive shoe.
One of the features you will appreciate is the Aerator seems to have vents all over the place! There is a vent at the tip of the toe. Plus there are two nice sized vents down the side of the shoe. This ventilation system helps the foot not to fatigue and get stiff as fast.
The next feature you will find useful is the closure system. The closure system is designed to give you excellent support of your foot. The step-by-step, S.B.S. for short, closure system allows you to tighten the shoe to your liking in incremental steps.
The Northwave Aerator cycling shoe family has two ways the sole comes. They come either with the TLS (Thin, Light, Stiff) 5 carbon sole or the TLS 3 carbon sole.
In the TLS carbon sole, the number represents the number of layers of carbon fiber. The TLS 5 is Northwave’s latest and greatest technology!
When the foot/shoe is properly positioned it enhances pedal/stroke output.
The last feature you will like about the Aerator is the insole/footbed. On the Aerator racing shoe the insole is made from natural leather. The natural leather minimizes heat transfer and enhances the grip of your foot.
On the other two shoes the insole is called Anatomic Pro. The Anatomic Pro has holes and channels for ventilation purposes. There is also a special portion in the ball of the foot area that helps reduce vibrations from the pedal. This would help your foot fight fatigue.
This family of cycling shoes is one of the best out there!
