Ultralight Cycling Glasses

Ultralight cycling glasses are one of my favorite accessories when it comes to cycling.

The reason for this is because they are very versatile.

You can wear them any time you want with out feeling silly in public.

When shopping for cycling glasses there are some things to consider before purchasing.

1. What type of conditions do I ride in on a regular basis? (this could determine the color of lenses to get)

2. What shape is my face? (this could determine what style to get)

3. Do I want glasses that have interchangeable lenses? (this could determine the brand)

Now let’s get down to business in explaining these basic questions.

Depending on your answer to the first question will determine the color of lenses to get.

The following is a list of the basic color shades and what type of conditions they are best to be used in.

Grey: these are good all-around lenses. The outdoor scenery will be the truest with these lenses. With these lenses the light is flattened out. Keeping your depth perception as normal as possible.

Green: these lenses are very similar to grey in their ability to keep colors consistent and block UV rays.

Brown: for foggy, hazy or lower light conditions. They provide good depth perception and clarity in lower light environments.

Yellow: for depth perception clarity, yet they can distort outside colors.

Ultralight Cycling Glasses The overall shape of your face will determine what to look for in styles to help enhance your facial shape.

Square Face: look for frames that curve slightly, to off set your strong jaw line.

Round Face: look for frames that are darker in color and with angular or straight lines.

Triangular Face: look for frames that have thin rims and straight vertical lines. Avoid large, bold colored and square frames.

Oblong Face: these people are lucky! They look good in any frame. It does need to be proportional to the rest of your face though.

The only reason I put in the last question is if you live in a climate that has a variety of weather conditions on a fairly consistent basis.

If you live in such a climate the need for interchangeable lenses makes it easier, and cheaper, for you to wear glasses that enhance your present conditions.
